Trains

In my new apartment, I'm just a few feet away from the CalTrain tracks. Apparently there are laws about trains blowing their whistles.

After practice, I can now sleep through Trains 23 through 41, but somewhere around Train 43 is a very effective alarm clock.

Even Train numbers are Southbound; odd Train numbers are Northbound.

All trains are now bicycle-accessible. 

(*) Train 90 runs on Fridays only (excepting holiday Fridays)
(S) Sundays only - train 257 does not operate on holidays

(x) Express train - does not stop at all stations 
(A) Trains 87 and 187 will depart San Jose 15 minutes after Sharks games
    or at 10:30pm, whichever is later.

It's 2:08 as I write this, and a train just passed by, whistling and rattling. I guess CalTrain needs to update their schedule.

I imagine that someday soon I will find this noise comforting and reassuring. My mom says we used to live near trains in England. I don't remember them.

Update, July 16:
I'm still not used to the noise of the train whistles. In fact, I'm less tolerant of it than ever. In fact, it's driving me insane.
